USB to RS485 TTL Serial Converter Adapter FT232

The USB to RS485 TTL Serial Converter Adapter FT232 is compliant with the USB 2.0 standard and is backward compatible, adhering to standard RS485 protocols. It features automatic data flow control for direction management, automatically distinguishing and controlling data transfer direction at baud rates ranging from 300 to 9216000 bps while detecting the serial signal data rate.

This converter supports multipoint connections, allowing up to 32 RS485 interface devices. It also includes TVS tube interface protection and USB self-recovery protection.

The USB to RS485 TTL Serial Converter enables bidirectional signal conversion between RS485 and a personal computer’s USB port using a virtual serial COM port. Powered directly from USB, it utilizes the FT232RL and 75176 chips, accommodating up to 32 devices on the bus.

Four jumpers connect the USB interface to the RS485 interface; if removed, the USB interface can be used as a TTL Level Serial port.
