The ESP-WROOM-32 (ESP-32S) 30-Pin Development Board is the professional’s choice for IoT prototyping. We’ve ditched the generic CH340 chips and legacy connectors. This board features the high-performance Silicon Labs CP2102 USB-to-UART bridge for rock-solid 3Mbps data rates and a modern USB Type-C interface that’s built to survive hundreds of plug-cycles.

Key Applications & Projects
-
Smart Home Hubs: Create a secure gateway for Zigbee or BLE sensors.
-
Industrial Data Loggers: Reliable high-speed serial logging via CP2102.
-
Audio Over IP: Stream MP3 or AAC audio thanks to dual-core processing.
-
BLE Mesh Networks: Deploy low-power sensor nodes in large environments.
Project Evolution
-
Past Projects (Prerequisites): If you have worked with the basic ESP8266 or Arduino boards, you already know the basics of GPIO control.
-
Feature Upgrade: This board unlocks True Parallel Processing. With two cores, you can dedicate one to heavy Wi-Fi/Cloud communication (like AWS or Firebase) while the second core handles real-time sensor interrupts without a single microsecond of lag.
-
Effort Level: Intermediate. Works seamlessly with Arduino IDE, MicroPython, and ESP-IDF.
Virtual Technician & Wiring
Critical Warning: The CP2102 bridge handles data, but the board's logic is strictly 3.3V. Connecting 5V sensors directly to GPIO pins will result in permanent chip failure.
-
Vin: Connect 5V external power here if not using USB.
-
3V3: Regulated output (Max ~500mA for peripherals).
-
GPIO21 (SDA) / GPIO22 (SCL): Standard I2C pins.
-
EN Button: Manual hardware reset.
